Unable to commit to attend all of Code Switch, but still want to participate? Consider being a volunteer! Volunteer shifts are between 3 and 4 hours on Saturday or Sunday. And there are quite a few ways to volunteer!
Registration — Setup registration area, prep any swag for handoff to registrants, manage registrant sign-in.
Greeting/Wayfinding — Union Depot is a pretty big place! In this role, you’ll be stationed at areas around the Depot to greet guests and help them find registration or other key areas.
Wayfinding/Support — Help guests find key areas and support our hacking teams by assisting them in finding resources or help they might need (e.g. tracking down a mentor for their question). You’ll also support Code Switch staff with tasks as needed.
Developer Mentors — Use your development experience to help teams troubleshoot coding issues and provide process or general coding advice.
UX/Design Mentors — Use your experience in UX and/or design to consult with teams on building out the experience and/or UI of their app.
Systems/Ops/IT Mentors — Assist teams in troubleshooting hardware, operating system and/or deployment issues. Provide advice and direction as requested.
Presentation Mentors — Use your experience with developing presentations to provide our hack teams with direction and advice for their big day on Sunday!
